Lancaster Guardian 13/10/02 Co-op Rock

LANCASTER'S top bands are joining forces for a three-night event to raise funds for the Musicians' Co-op.

The line-up for the Yorkie Weekender, taking place tonight (Friday), Saturday and Sunday at the Yorkshire House has been been confirmed by organisers Angelica, who are also headlining the event on Saturday

Starting at 7pm, Friday is rock night, head-lined by Seraphim, with support from Madflower, One 0 One (formerly Bluey), Forenzic, Kaolin and I Don't Wanna.

There will be a late bar and after-show rock and metal disco with DJing from Seraphim's Matt.

Saturday's entertainment begins at 7pm with Beef Sharky followed by Mob Curious, The Puma-Sutras, 3D Tanx and Angelica.

The live music will be followed by drum'n'bass by DJs 'ezra silk' and 'timebomb' and again there will be a late bar.

The Guns of Navarone headline on Sunday, which starts at the slightly later tune of 7.30pm. Other acts include The Shady Jazz Trio, Little Hero, The McBuddies and the Pier Group's Paddy Garrigan and Scott Morley.

Tickets cost £3 a night or £8 for the week-end and all proceeds go to the Lancaster Musicians' Co-op.

The tickets are available from The Yorkshire House, the Music Co-op, Play It Again in Lancaster Market and Andy's Records. Places are limited to 80 per night

Tickets are already selling like hot cakes so please make sure that you buy them in advance to avoid disappointment
