Co-op Rock
LANCASTER'S
top bands are joining forces for a three-night event to raise funds for
the Musicians' Co-op. The
line-up for the Yorkie Weekender, taking place tonight (Friday),
Saturday and Sunday at the Yorkshire House has been been confirmed by
organisers Angelica, who are also headlining the event on Saturday Starting
at 7pm, Friday is rock night, head-lined by Seraphim, with support from
Madflower, One 0 One (formerly Bluey), Forenzic, Kaolin and I Don't
Wanna. There
will be a late bar and after-show rock and metal disco with DJing from
Seraphim's Matt. Saturday's
entertainment begins at 7pm with Beef Sharky followed by Mob Curious,
The Puma-Sutras, 3D Tanx and Angelica. The
live music will be followed by drum'n'bass by DJs 'ezra silk' and 'timebomb'
and again there will be a late bar. The
Guns of Navarone headline on Sunday, which starts at the slightly later
tune of 7.30pm. Other acts include The Shady Jazz Trio, Little Hero, The
McBuddies and the Pier Group's Paddy Garrigan and Scott Morley. Tickets
cost £3 a night or £8 for the week-end and all proceeds go to the
Lancaster Musicians' Co-op. The
tickets are available from The Yorkshire House, the Music Co-op, Play It
Again in Lancaster Market and Andy's Records. Places are limited to 80
per night Tickets are already selling like hot cakes so please make sure that you buy them in advance to avoid disappointment |
