In tandem with 32 audio channels, 32 midi channels and 8 analogue tape channels, there are also up to 24 software instrument channels. Each of these channels can be assigned to a software instrument such as the exs24 (pictured below). The exs24 delivers 24 bit  96khz polyphonic samples, controllable from any midi input device. It can also be triggered from an existing audio track so if your recorded drum sound doesn't fit the song - the kit can be replaced without having to rerecord!
